About the Organizers

Jasper Richmus is a creative collective based in the Hudson Valley and Brooklyn, NY. Founded in 2015 by Kate Asmus and John Richey, Jasper Richmus is the ongoing collaboration that fosters a broad range of community building activities. Past projects include pop-up exhibitions, performances, and happenings; as well as the production and publishing of limited edition print ephemera, enamel pins, and zines.

Kate Asmus is an accomplished archivist, researcher, and all-around problem solver. Past projects include work for PEN America, Sam Shepard’s Estate, Simon’s Rock College at Bard as well as many private collections in the tri-state area.

Marly Hammer is a curator, advisor, and cultural strategist with over 20 years of experience in the art world. Most recently, she served as Managing Director of Tom Sachs Studio, where she oversaw the studio's operations and strategic direction. Prior to joining the studio, Marly was Chief of Staff and Head of Programming at Lévy Gorvy Dayan, overseeing the gallery's creative initiatives, global programming, and staff. Before that, she was Global Exhibitions Director at Pace Gallery, where she managed the international exhibitions and art fair program, developing innovative operational strategies that bridged exhibitions, sales, and logistics. She has also held positions with the corporate art collections of UBS and Neuberger Berman.

Marly currently serves on the Board of Directors of ArtTable, the leading professional organization dedicated to advancing the leadership of women and nonbinary professionals in the visual arts.

John Richey is a visual artist and independent curator. Recent curatorial projects include “A Forest” at N/A Project Space, New Paltz, NY, “Summer’s Luscious Party”, Kingston, NY, and “In Being Double” at Pace Gallery, New York (co-curated with Tumi Nwanma). Over the past 20 years, in addition to his active studio and curatorial practice, Richey has held various professional titles at New York commercial art galleries and fine art foundations including Marian Goodman Gallery, Greene Naftali Gallery, and the Keith Haring Foundation. He is currently the Senior Registrar for the Office of Arne Glimcher at Pace Gallery, New York.
