About the Organizers
Jasper Richmus is a creative collective based in the Hudson Valley and Brooklyn, NY. Founded in 2015 by Kate Asmus and John Richey, Jasper Richmus is the ongoing collaboration that fosters a broad range of community building activities. Past projects include pop-up exhibitions, performances, and happenings; as well as the production and publishing of limited edition print ephemera, enamel pins, and zines.
Kate Asmus is an accomplished archivist, researcher, and all-around problem solver. Past projects include work for PEN America, Sam Shepard’s Estate, Simon’s Rock College at Bard as well as many private collections in the tri-state area.
Marly Hammer currently works as the Managing Director of Tom Sachs Studio with over 17 years of experience in the art world. Prior to joining Tom Sachs Studio in 2025, Marly was the Chief of Staff and Programming at Lévy Gorvy Dayan, overseeing all creative aspects of the gallery, staff and the global program. Preceding that she was the Global Exhibitions Director at Pace Gallery, managing the exhibitions and art fair schedule, focusing on bridging sales and operations through overarching project management and innovative problem solving. She has also worked at the UBS and Neuberger Berman corporate art collections.
John Richey is a visual artist and independent curator. Recent curatorial projects include “A Forest” at N/A Project Space, New Paltz, NY, “Summer’s Luscious Party”, Kingston, NY, and “In Being Double” at Pace Gallery, New York (co-curated with Tumi Nwanma). Over the past 20 years, in addition to his active studio and curatorial practice, Richey has held various professional titles at New York commercial art galleries and fine art foundations including Marian Goodman Gallery, Greene Naftali Gallery, and the Keith Haring Foundation. He is currently the Senior Registrar for the Office of Arne Glimcher at Pace Gallery, New York.
